Last Day of Kindergarten

Jaylee had her last day of school at Kiwanis Park
last Tuesday.

Mrs. Fish is retiring after this year.
She was a great teacher for Jaylee.

Jaylee is definitely ready for the 1st grade.
She loves to read and enjoys doing math.
I know; I don't know where she came from.
We are so proud of her!

Dreary sunrise

As those of you know who live in Farmington,
we have been having some crazy wind lately.
One morning, we woke up to a very windy day that made the sunrise
look very hazy. Thought I'd grab my camera to take some more
"NM skies" pictures.

Toothless

Jaylee lost tooth #5 last week.
You should ask her to say
"Sister Suzie sitting on a thistle"

Patriotic Program

Jaylee's Kindergarten class did a patriotic program last month.
Every single kid in the class had two or three parts and they all did them perfectly.
I was very impressed.
Jaylee practiced her songs every time she took a bath.
The practice paid off. Good job Jaylee!
I'm hoping to get a copy of it on video soon. I just had my still camera.

Durango Mountains and Fish Hatchery

We went to Durango and the Fish Hatchery last Friday.
Jaylee thought it was really cool.
She went to school and told her teacher (Mrs. Fish) all about it.

These deer didn't seem to mind us at all.
They were the only other ones hanging out at the Fish Hatchery that day.
I was able to walk right up to them to take these pictures.

Happy Valentines Day

Jaylee stayed the night with Angel at Granny and Papa Bobs house last night
She loves spending time with her cousin.
We took Angel and Jaylee to Aztec Ruins today.
Even though there was still snow on the ground,
it was a beautiful day. I wanted to test out my new camera.
The girls also earned their Junior Ranger Badges.

Hair cut and glasses

My old camera died and I got myself a new camera just in time.
Jaylee got a new hair cut and glasses. And I needed to get pictures of her before her teeth fell out. She has 3 loose ones!
At the beginning of school Jaylee was sent home with a note from the nurse that she needed glasses. I didn't notice any problems with her sight at home so I ignored it. Then we had parent teacher conference last week and her teacher was concerned because she couldn't see the board. So we went to get her eyes checked, and sure enough, she is near sighted. She already notices a big change in her vision with them on. She loves them. Thank goodness.
